About Miss Minnesota Valley
Hi everyone! My name is Danica, and I am honored to be your Miss Minnesota Valley 2027!
Professionally, I am an Oncology Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. My passion for healthcare extends beyond the bedside, and I hope to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration to one day help develop healthcare technology. I’m incredibly grateful to the Miss America Organization for providing scholarships that help make those dreams possible!
My Community Service Initiative, Bleeding Love: Advocating for Organ and Bone Marrow Transplant, is dedicated to inspiring others to become potential donors and save lives. Through my work with the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) and Donate Life America, I educate and encourage others to join the registry. My passion for this cause is deeply personal—my grandfather’s kidney donor gave him a second chance at life and inspired me to find ways to give that same gift of hope to others.
Beyond nursing and my CSI, I love embracing the adventurous side of life! You can often find me outdoors enjoying water sports, hiking, traveling, or discovering a new activity or place. And when I’m ready for a quiet day at home, you’ll find me curled up on the couch with my newly adopted cat, Whimsy. I’m excited to share this year with the community and make memories along the way!
